Training

WECC is experienced in providing training for all those interested in the countryside

The training can either be tailor made to suit your individual requirements or “off the shelf” courses.

All training is delivered in single day blocks at a venue of your chose, in addition to this, WECC fully understands the need to be flexible in order to fit in with a volunteers work and social responsibilities, therefore WECC can provide training on weekends for no extra cost.

Current Off the shelf courses are as follows:

A Taste of Rights of Way Law and Practice:

A course designed to introduce the concept of rights of way, educate people on where they can and can not go and what the various organisations do to help.

Basic Highway Law and Practice:

This course is designed inform the delegates on what the Definitive Map and Statement are, how best to deal with obstructions and maintenance, Gates and RoW furniture and introduces the PPOs and DMMOs process.

Section 31 and user Evidence

This covers is aimed at empowering the volunteer on how to claim a right of way via Section 31 Highways Act 1980.
